Count Brockdor (F-Rantzau Dead. REFUSED SIGN PEACE TREATY. (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, September 9. The sudden death in Berlin is announced of Count Brockdorff-Rantzau, the German Ambassador to the Soviet. It will be recalled that he was the first German Foreign Secretary _ after the war and headed the. delegation to Paris. He refused to sign the peace treaty and returned to Germany, where he resigned.
