BAPTIST TABERNACLE.
SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY
Special services were held yesterday in the Town Hall to celebrate the seventieth anniversary of the Sunday School con nected with the Auckland Baptist Tabernacle. All three services were largely attended. The singing was very good, the scholars being assisted by the Tabernacle Chorus Choir, there being a total of 400 voices. The Rev. Joseph Kemp conducted the service in the morning, when Dr. J. J. North, principal of the Baptist Training College, preached. The superintendent of the Sunday School, Mr. S. Barry, conducted the afternoon service, when the Rev. A. W. Bean delivered an address. At night the sermon by the Rev. Joseph Kemp was broadcasted. The following were the soloists during the day:—Miss Doreen Logan, Miss Grace Johnston, Miss. Oriel Merson, Miss Ruth Wilson, Miss Josie Priest, Mr. A. H. Reynolds and Mr. Lanrence North. Duets were give - by Misses Doris Reevely and May WiV s. and by Misses Joyce Ellingham and Marjory Montgomery. The offertory totalled
