LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
PREMIERSHIP FINALS. ELLERSLIE TO MEET DEVONPORT. KEEN GAME PROMISED. The final matches of the League championship series will be played to-morrow afternoon at Carlaw Park. Chief interest will centre in the Devonport-Ellers-lie game, as the former are leading Richmond by a single point. A victory will give the 1928 premiefship to Devonport, and the general opinion is that they will win, although Ellerslie on one of their best days are quite a good team, and last Saturday made Richmond fight every inch of the way to snatch a last-minute victory. Richmond have been drawn to meet City, a match that should be interesting in view of the recovery of form which the latter team disclosed last Saturday. Marist will meet Newton, a game which will not affect the championship result. Teams:— GRAFTON ATHLETIC.
