"It'? all through your wretched paper!" declared the angry man. "What's the matter now!" asked the reporter. "You stated the day before yesterday that a thief had entered my bouse, broken open my desk, stolen a sum of money, but that, fortunately, he had overlooked the gold watch which usually lies in the bottom of the drawer." "Well. I believe the facte were stated fnrreetly,'' -aid the reporter. "They were correct enough." the injured man agreed, "but what is the result: ? The thief came again last night and took the watch!"
