Frank McManemin, are spending a holiday in Sydney. » « * * Mrs. Pcrcy Jones, who has been staying at The Cove, Waipu, is now in Auckland, accompanied by her daughter, Airs. R. Hunter Duncan. They are staying at Stonchurst. • • • • Mrs. Con Beck Daly (Miss Edith Harrhy), well known in Auckland, recently returned to Sydney with Mr. Daly" from Brisbane, where she broadcasted several times. The trip was made by motor, via Li&more, Coraki and Grafton. Aire. Daly has just composed "An Australian Book of Songs for Children." This is her third book, and the eight numbers include "Land of the Blue Gum" and "Elizabeth Ann."
Mr. Norman Brookes, the well-known tennis player, and Mrs. Brookes, are ■pending much of their time travelling between Paris and England. Mr. Brookes ' was recently awarded the legion d'honneur at a very pleasant ceremony. Mrs. Brookes has had many invitations to go flying, but always says laughingly that it does not appeal to her. Her three daughters are studying French in Paris.
