MISSING SOLICITOR'S FUNDS.
LIABILITIES NOT KNOWN. CREDITORS TAKE ACTION. (Bs Telcgrapli—Own Correspondent.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The Press was excluded yesterdrtv from a meeting of the creditors of J. B. Batchelor, a young Christchurch Solicitor, who disappeared recently, and for whose arrest a warrant has been Issued, charging hiin with having failed to account for trust moneys. It was stated at the meeting that Batchelor's book debts were estimated at £3000, but his total liabilities were not yet ascertainable. It is believed that the deficiency will amount to about £10,000. The creditors decided to have the aolicitor adjudicated bankrupt. Since the warrant was issued Batchelor has not been found by the police, but it is believed that he is in the North Island.
