Gene Tunney Does England In Style. A TUMULTUOUS RECEPTION. (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, August 22. Gene Tunney has arrived in England. He received a tumultuous reception, which prompted the exclamation: "Gee, I never thought I would have reached this state of importance." Ho taxied to the Savoy Hotel, where he has engaged a gorgeous royal suite.
