SOCCER AT HUNTLY.
WEBSTER SHIELD GAME. * HUNTLY, Wednesday. In the Webster JfhieM competition yesterday. Wellington defeated Manawatu by 3 goals to 0. All the goals were scored bY Barlow in the first spell. Wellington was superior on attack, and dominated the game throughout, only the good defence saving a big score. Lodge and Kendall were prominent for Manawatu. Barlow was outstanding for Wellington. The Auckland v. Waikato match provided spectacular football, and ended in a draw neither side scoring. The game was evenlY contested in the first spell, but Waikato bad the better of the game in the second half, and looked like scoring on a number of occasions. The Auckland defence was sound. Fraser, McKenty and Cllst plave<i eood games for Auckland, and Marshal and Spence played best for Waikato.
