WAIPORI MARU RETURED. ATHOLL SAILED. Arriving unexpectedly yesterday afternoon, the steamer Waipori Maru is undergoing repairs. This is the second time she has put back after sailing for Newcastle. Last evening the Atholl sailed for Westport to bunker before going to Nauru Island. The Waipiata expects to arrive from Southern ports at 3 p.m. to-day. The Kaitoke left Lyttelton at 4.30 p.m. yesterday for Auckland direct, and expects to arrive at noon on Saturday. The Wingatui is to leave Timaru at 5 p.m. to-day for Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. The Kurow undocked to-day and berthed at the Princc's wharf. She is to sail on Saturday for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The Waltomo Is to go Into dock to-morrow morning for repairs. The Kaimanawa arrived this morning from Westport, via New Plymouth, and berthed at the Prince's wharf. To-morrow morning she is to shift to the Western wharf to complete discharge, and is announced to sail in the evening for Portland to load cement for Wellington and Westport. At the latter port she is to load another coal cargo for Auckland. The Waimea berthed at Gisborne at 11 a.m. to-day, and is to sail at 11 p.m. for Napier. The Elsie Mary sailed for Gisborne yesterday afternoon. Taking passengers, malls and cargo, the Huddart, Parker steamer Ulimaroa is to leave AVellington at noon to-morrow for Sydney, where she is due next Tuesday. Loaded with coal for Auckland, the Union Companys chartered steamer Balls Head is still barbound at Greymouth. She is unlikely to leave before to-morrow. The Superintendent of Mercantile Marine] reports that Flat Rock light is not showing. Masters should be careful when navigating in the vicinity at night time. The light will be attended to as soon as possible. The following vessels are expected to be within range of the Auckland wireless station to-night: Golden Harvest, Trevorian, Antinous, Kanna, Coptic, Copenhagen, Maui Pomare, Waipahi, Pulpit Point, Atholl, Otokia. . The Northern Company's auxiliary schooner Toa, which left Onehunga for Waikato Heads on Monday evening, was again bar-bound at Manukau Heads yesterday. In consequence her departure from Onehunga for Hokianxa and Auckland has been further postponed until to-morrow. AORANGI LEFT VANCOUVER. With passengers, mails and cargo for Honolulu, Suva, Auckland and Sydney, the Union Company's cnartered steamer Balls Vancouver at noon yesterday. She is due at Auckland on September 10 and is scheduled to resume her voyage to Sydney the following day. TREVORIAN FROM NEW YORK. Scheduled to reach Auckland next Monday, the steamer Trevorian has not yet reported by wireless. She has general cargo from New York for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. Due at Auckland from Gisborne on Sunday, the Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor ship Port Huon is to berth at the Queen' -/harf to flil up for New York and London. Line steamer Golden Harvest, which is due at Auckland to-morrow with lumber, case oil and general cargo from Pacific Coast ports. She is not likely to arrive before the week-end. Her other ports of discharge are Wellington and Lyttelton. R.M.S. NIAGARA. On her return voyage to Auckland, Suva, Honolulu and Vancouver, the Union Company's R.M.s. Niagara Is to leave Sydney to-day. She is due at Auckland on Monday and is announced to resume her voyage the following day. WESTVARD FROM TEXAS. The local office of the Texas Oil Company has received advice that the Norwegian motor-ship Westvard Is scheduled to Jeave Port Arthur. Texas, to-day with a full cargo of case oil for discharge at Auckland, Wellington and Australian ports. She Is exj pected to arrive at Auckland about the end of September. MAHENO FROM SYDNEY.

Leaving Sydney at noon to-morrow the Union Company's steamer Maheno is dne at Auckland nest Tuesday morning to land passengers and mails as well as general cargo. The Marama, for Wellington, Is also to leave Sydney to morrow, arriving at Wellington on Tuesday. Both vessels are to sail again for Sydney the following Friday. WARNING TO MASTERS. The Superintendent of Mercantile Marine warns masters against using for navigational purposes two floodlights which have been installed at the Westport railway yards, and which are visible seaward. The two lights, of 1500 candlepower each, and mounted on lattice towers 95 feet in height, are 767 yards apart, and in transit 163 degrees. They are reported to be visible at the extreme range of distance provided by their elevation. PHOSPHATE STEAMERS. Henderson and Macfarlane. Ltd.. advise the following loadings of phosphate steamers for New Zealand:— The Atholl, which has been discharging Java sugar at SChelsea, left Auckland last evening for Westport to bunker. Thence she Is to go to Nauru to load phosphate 'or New Plymouth and Wanganui. She is scheduled to clear Nauru on' September 15. The Kintyre is scheduled to leave Nauru on August 31 for Auckland. The Saltersgate is to leave Ocean Island about the end of September for Lyttelton and Port Chalmers. WAIPORI MAUD RETURNED. For the second time, the Japanese steamer tVaipori Maru has returned to port after leaving for Newcastle. Last week, she put back because owing to head winds, she had not enough coal left to complete the j journey. After replenishing her bunkers, she sailed aeain on Saturday afternoon, but was again sighted from Tiri, inward bound, shortly after 2 p.m. yesterday. She reports that when li! 0 miles west of Cape Maria van Icemen, a fault developed in the circulating pump, and as bad weather %vas threatening, the vessel put back for repairs. It is hoped to dispatch her again to-morrow. The Waipori Maru formerlv belonged to the Union Company. She is destined for the Newcastle-Manila coal trade.
