KNUDSON SENT BACK TO GAOL.
"I'm very sorry," was all George Knudson (46), had to sav, apart from pleading guilty, at the Police Court this morning to a charge of stealing a pair of boots valued at 1 S/l 1 from the Citv Boot Store yesterday. "This man has a very long list, and is an habitual theief." said Chief Detective Hammond. "His speciality is stealing from shop doors." Mr. Mcßean. after looking at Knudson's list of previous convictions, which took up more than two sides of foolscap, said that he had spent a good deal of his time in gaol. Three months' imprisonment was Mr. McKean's prescription. r
