THE PRIME MINISTER.
BRIEF VISIT TO AUCKLAND. MEETING WITH PARTY LEADERS. For the purpose of meeting officials of the Reform party in Auckland the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, arrived bv the Limited express from Wellington this morning. He was greeted at the railway station by several of his party friends. Subsequently a conference, having relation to the forthcoming general election, was held at the Grand Hotel. Mr. Coates did not come to receive deputations or to grant interviews. His visit was purely of a private nature. He will leave to-night for Wellington.
