GENERAL ELECTION.
AUCKLAND CENTRAL
The Auckland Central seat is not to be allowed to go by default. In response to requests, Mr. James Joiner, of Lincoln Street, Ponsonby, has decided to contest the seat as an Independent candidate. He is the son of Captain Joiner, well known in Auckland in the early days. Mr. Joiner is prominently connected with the P.P.A. and the New Zealand Alliance. The sitting member is Mr. W. E. Parry,"who represents the Labour party.
