CANTERBURY CROPS.
RAILWAY TRAFFIC FIGURES. A huge increase has been recorded in the amount of grain carried on the railways in Canterbury this season. The total to date shows that 322.259 sacks have been carried in excess of the number carried in the corresponding period last year. -This represents au increase in the value of grain earned of about £."300,000. As tlie railways carry practically all the grain grown, the figures giv« some indication of the increase in the yield last season.
