INTERNATIONAL CONTESTS.
A REVIVAL OF THE SPORT.
There is every indication that Auckland will shortly experience a wrestling revival, and that some of the world's beet grapplers will be seen in a local ring.
Negotiations between the New Zealand Wrestling Association and Stadiums, Ltd., Australia, which have been in progress for some weeks, have now reached a definite stage, and it is the intention of the Dominion boclv to stage a series of international contests at Auckland, featuring a number of the widely-known mat men who have been _•'.nilling Australian

the secretary of the N.Z. Wrestling Association, Henry Irslinger, who passed through Auckland on his way to Australia <'i. couple of months ago, says that he would welcome matches in the Dominion. Irslinger beat Ted Thve, middle-weight champion of the world, and, among others, earned the decision over .Tohn Kilonis, tho (Jreek champion, and Gania, the well-performed Indian.
