MARRIAGE DISSOLVED.
JURY AWARDS DAMAGES. FARMER AS CO-RESPONDENT. An undefended divorce petition was heard bv Mr. Justice Reed and a jury of twelve in the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon. The petitioner was George Cendo Yelcich. of Raglan (Mr. Mason) and the respondent, Mary elcicli. Leslie Broun, farmer, of Viaiuku, was cited as co-responilent. The sriounds of the petition were adultery, in respect to which the petitioner claimed £500 damages. The case *w brought before a jury for the purpose of assessing the damages. Petitioner stated that he was married on April 3. 1923, and had lived with his wife at Waiuku. There were two children. At the beginning of February hi® wife had gone to live at Manure**, and before going she had admitted misconduct. The evidence of the misconduct was given by Marco Duganzich. who said that on the evening of January 2S last the blind of the front room in petitioners house af Wainkn was left a little ''>> and he looked into the room. Corroborative evidence was given by 'wo other witnesses. The jury awarded £.V>o and "dded a rider that it consider ed the *"oney should be alloi-n+od to the children.
