LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
ENGLAND V. AUCKLAND.
TEAMS FOR SATURDAY.
TWO STRONG SIDES
Both England and Auckland will field strong sides when they meet in the big Rugby League attraction at Carlaw Park on Saturday, and another strenuous contest is promised. England will be represented by a well-balanced thirteen, which includes a good leaven of Test players, while the elect or Auckland consists of the back line that was so successful in the first Test, and a fast, hardworking pack, three of whom also played last Saturday. The teams are as follows:— England. Full-back.—J. Sullivan. Three-quarters (one to be omitted). — A. Ellaby, J. Fairclough, J. Brough, J. Oliver, A. Frodsham. Half-backs. —B. Evans (scrum), B. Rees. Forwards. —W. Burgess, N. Bentham, H. Bowman, F. Bowen, J. T. Thompson, W. Horton. Auckland. ' Full-back. —C. Dufty. Three-quarters. —L. Scott, C. List, R. Hardgrave. Five-eighths.—M. Wetheri'l, S. The tourists left shortly after nine o'clock this morning for Helensville, and will return to Auckland this evening. Although the Englishmen are making the most of their visit to New Zealand and seeing as much of the scenic beauties of the country as possible, they are not neglecting their training operations. They are determined to make every post a winning one on Saturday, and to-day practised at Helensville.
