NEW PLYMOUTH ROAD.
UXMETALLED SECTIONS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) OTOEOHAXGA. Friday. The Rev. C. J. Bush-King, vicar of Kawliia, was in Otorobanga to-day. He states that the road between the le Kawa Junction and Ivawhia i» metalled the whole way, and is easily traverse'!, winter or summer. A road which is needing " that running from Kawnia to 11 " alon<: the coast, a distance o -< of which 22 are unmetalk-d. In time Mr. Bush-King has to n,otor '4 milei through Otorohanga and via the Waitomo Cares, in order to reach KmoKawhia County Council recently accepted £3000 in settlement ol outstanding native rates, and it is intended to use this sum. along with a subsidy irou the Main Highways Board, of. it is hoped £4 for £1. in raetaliinp the missing stretch to Kinohaku.
