NO CLAIM YET MADE. (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) (Heceived 1 p.m.) LONDON, July 23. In the House of Commons, Sir John Oilmour, Secretary for Scotland, replying to the Rev. C. Stephen (Lab., Camlachie), said he could not make a statement regarding the compensation to be paid to Oscar Slater. He thought it better that he first have a reasonable chance of making a claim. Major L. Hore Belisha (Lib., Devonport.)': Would it not be more generous for the Government to make a grant without waiting? Sir John Oilmour did not reply.
