ART WORK DISPLAY.
An exhibition of work was opened in the concert hall of Lewis Eady, Ltd., this afternoon by an ambitions company of art students who style themselves the "Ever Hopefuls." They are students of Mrs. L. M. Vigers, and none of them has been under tuition for more than a few months. The standard of the work is decidedly good. Landscape painting and poster work by older pupils shows to advantage, while pencil sketches and fashion designing include specimens of quality. A large number of the exhibits were at the Auckland Winter Exhibition, and at the Waikato Winter Show, where some of the exhibitors figured prominentlv among the prizetakers.
A feature of the exhibition is a section for painted furniture, which includes a variety of effective designs. The display will be on view until to-morrow evening.
