HUNTING.

THE WAIKATO PACK. CAMBRIDGE. Monday. Despite the fact that the weather was cold and bleak, and that it was the worst scenting day experienced this season, the hounds worked well, and the meet at Flat Park, Leamington, on Saturday, was a most successful one. Tlie field numbered fully ninety, and straightgoers followed a pack of eighteen couple, led by the Master, Mr. Wynn Brown, and whipped in by Messrs. Harry Sampson and Geo. Peake. Before setting out for the day's sport the field present at noon were entertained to luncheon by Mr. and Mrs. Neely, of Brackenfield. While the field were regaling themselves the hounds had. been busy, and when they gave tongue there was a hurried scatter for horses. Puss, however, was too clever, and went into country that was not negotiable. The Master, then led his pack to Mr. J. W. Garland's property. All the neighbouring country was hunted over, and two good runs were experienced, though no kills were registered.- 1 The field then returned to Brackenfield, where they were entertained to afternoon tea. Thus ended another very happy day spent in Waikato hunting.
