MOTOR VAN STRIKES POLE.
MAX SERIOUSLY*IXJURED. <Bv Telegraph.—Press Association.) NELSON, Monday. As the result of a motor van striking an electric light pole in Waimea Road on Saturday evening, George Briggs, a resident of Tahunanui, is in the hospital in a serious conditoin, with his skull fractured and his jaw broken. The other occupant of the van, Leo Cresswell, was not seriously hurt. Mr. Briggs is married.
