MOTOR ACCIDENT.
CAUSED BY DOG. i Ail SWERVES JXTO TI!EK. A white fox terrier <10? m;h primarily the cau=e of a motor car accident in Lower JSymonds Street on Saturday afternoon. The dog was seated between tlie two occupant# of a motor car, driven by the owner, Mr. V. Blanc, of Mt. Eden. Wlien opposite the University the animal tried to jump out. In an endeavour to .crrab the dog Mr. Blanc lifted his hand from the steering wheel. The result was disaster, the car swerving and crashing into a tree on the roadside. Mr. Blane was thrown forcibly against the steering wheel, which broke, and his ehoM. ribs, and one knee were badly bruised. The passenger, Master Keith Markwick. aged 111, of North-cote, was cut on the back of the head, being struck by a piece of the broken glass windscreen.
Fir>t aiid was administered by resident* near the scene of the accident, and alter attention at. the Mater Misericorilia" Hospital, the sulVerers. whose injuries - were not serious returned IKUIII'.
