Jovial and Royal Wink raced to. gether in the lead for half-a-mile, when .Jovial drew clear of Royal Wink, the pair being well clear of Greenstone, with Mainspring and Captain Sarto following. Poyal Wink joined Jovial starting on the la.-t round, where Greenstone was only four lengths away. Jovial was in the. front again seven furlongs from home (whero Greenstone was done), Mainspring being handy turning for home. Jovial finished well, and beat Royal \\ ink by two lengths. Mainspring was h; a-length away. Greenstone was a poor fourth, whilst Captain Sarto was pulled ii|• five furlongs from home.

Nurrntivc, Beau Geste, Despot and Solgcle disputed favouritism for the Levels Hack. Solgele, Despot and Narrative were smartest out, but Beau Ccste lost his place, Narrative following the leading pair round the home turn, with Membo and Princess Mafalda next. Despot took charge in the straight, but Beau Geste. finishing strongly on the rails, got up to beat him*by a neck. Narrative was half a length away third. Solgele was fourth, with Princess Mafa Ida and Membo close up. Bingen Patch was a pronounced favourite iu the Washdyke Trot and his backer.- were never uneasy. Golden Vale "us smartest out. followed by Bingen Patch and Moving Pointer. There was no change till the half-mile from home, where lan Logan took third place. Voting Bingen and Imshi being next. Bingen Patch .took .charge at the entrance to the straight and won easing tip by three lengths from Golden Vale, who beat Dan Logan by five lengths, with Kiowa, Imshi and Warepa close up. Teschemaker Steeples. Ranui was a staunch favoufite in the 'I eschemaker Memorial Hunt Cup Steeplechase. Ranui Jed over the first fence, where Miss Tatler fell, while Krasnoi ran otr at the first of the stand double. Ranui led Night Raid and Me.->>age Boy till starting the last round, where Message Boy joined the leader with Night Raid and Ramanuwhiri handy. The last-named fell at the second of the stand double. These three were together sex en furJongs from home, where Ranui jumped to the front again. Message Boy joined him at the entrance to the. straight and a great finish ended in Ranui winning by half a length. Night Raid was 50 yards away third. Pink L'ose was a warm favourite for the Hunters Plate. Poacher took charge early, followed by Royal Despatch and Armchair, but at thcend of five furlongs Armchair joined Poacher jn the lead. Then Armchair took charge, but two furlongs further on Whiffler went to the front. He had three lengths lead at the home turn, with Prompter and Armchair next, while Pink Rose joined in on reaching the straight. Prompter then ran to the front, and beat Pink Rose easily by over a length. Poacher was three lengths away, a neck in front of Whiffler.

Town Bank Beaten. 11l the C'laremont Handicap, Konaki took charge after going a furlong, with Antrim Boy next, but Konaki and Fairy Herald followed Antrim Boy round to the tar turn. Konaki led Antrim Boy to the straight, where Town Bank and Fairy Herald joined in.
