JOLLY DANCE.
Mauve streamers and shaded lights made the ballroom at the Svniondsville Studio most attractive last evening, when a cheery dance, arranged to raise funds for the choir queen, Miss Norene Bennett, in connection with the All Saints' Church queen carnival, was held. There was a splendid attendance of dancers, and a number of very pretty frocks were worn. The music supplied by the Amateur Syncopaters was much appreciated. Members of the committee present were: Mis. C. F. Bennett, wearing a frock of cyclamen pink embossed georuotte; Mrs. W. W. Averill, rose pink georgette and silver embroideries; Mrs. V. Usher, delphinium blue georgette; Mrs. Billington. cream georgette frock; Miss Norene Bennett, black georgette, with girdle of geranium red velvet; Miss O. Coppins. black beaded georgette; Miss K. Manning, black sprigged taffeta; Miss E. Adeane, bine georgette; Mies K. Thompson, blue taffeta frock. Others present were: Mrs. L. P. Leary, black groe grin; Mrs. F. Lintott, tangerine panne velvet: Mrs. C. Codiin, black georgette frock with blue trimming: Mrs. Hamp-ton-Reynolds, flame georgette with sequin trimming; Mrs. Grierson. ivory georgette beaded in rose and crystal"; Mrs. Allen, flame chenille frock; Miss M. Walker, periwinkle blue taffeUi; Miss D. Grant, bois de rose georgette frock; Miss L. Roberton, blue embossed georgette; Miss D. Steele, white and silver frock: Miss N. Lennox, maize coloured georgette; Miss D. Knoc, powder blue georgette and ecru lace; Miss Constance Rainger, frock of white creorgette with crystal embroideries: Miss M. Hunt, blue taffeta frock; Miss J. HalliweJl! Naples blue georgette and silver; Miss P. Brown, crimson georgette; Miss R. Hall, electric blue taffeta; Mis 3 B. Hardie Neil, rose ring velvet: Miss N. Worthy, delphinium blue georgette, with diamante trimming: Miss Edgecumbe. scarlet georgette; Mis* .7. Macindoe! white georgette and diamante; Miss Marjorie Meek, buttercup satin frock; Miss C. Brown, palest pink crepe de chine; Miss R. Owen, flame ring velvet and gold lace; Miss M. Bailev. lemoncoloured taffeta and lace; Miss P. Chambers, gold tissue and lace; Miss Gordon, black unrelieved ecorgette with scarlet shoulder posy. Miss T. Carter, palest pink georgette, studded with diamante. During the evening an exhibition of the Yale Blues was given by Mis* D. Steele and Mr. Ralph Pawson.
