WAIHI POLICE COURT.

WAIHI, Friday,
Andrew Ingram Soutliberg, of Waikino, was charged in the Police Court to-day with having been guilty of threatening behaviour.
The evidence shewed that an altercation arose between defendant and Constable Rimmer when the constable ordered defendant's son to'go home. The constable said defendant adopted a threatening attitude.
Defendant denied having made any attempt to strike the constable.
Defendant was fined £1 and costs
James F. Ford was fined £3 and costs, in default 14 days' imprisonment, for breaking his prohibition order. Sergeant Calwell said little notice was taken of the issue of prohibition orders. John Olsen, owner of a motor cycle. Was fined £2 for dangerous riding, and was convicted and ordered to pay costs on each of two charges of having no bell or brake on the machine.
Thomas Cornes was fined £1 for having ridden a motor cycle on the footpath, and £1 for having no lights.
