AUCKLAND LADIES' WIN. _ A team representing the Auckland Ladies' Club defeated the Titirangl Ladies' Club at Middlemore by seven matches to four yesterday. One match finished all square. Results :— Singles.—Miss D. Horton lost to Miss E. Culling, 2 down ; Mrs. Dufaur defeated Mrs. Wilson, 2 up: Mrs. Deighton lost to Mrs. Hodges, o and 4; Mrs. Hosking defeated Miss E. M. Upton, 2 up: Miss K. Horton defeated Miss F. Ratlibone, 1 lip ; Mrs. Alison lost to Miss F. Hamlin, •'! and 1 ; Miss M. Colebrook lost to Mrs. Marshall, 5 and 3; Mrs. Finlay lost to Miss M. Macfarlane, 4 and 3.3 Foursomes. — Mrs. Dufaur and Mrs. Hosking l(Vst to Misses Culling and Rathbone, 2 and 3 : Misses D. and K. Horton and Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Hodges, all square; Mrs. Deighton and Mrs. Alison defeated Misses Upton and Hamlin, 3 and 1; Mrs. Finlay and Miss Colebrook lost to Mrs. Marshall and Miss Macfarlane, 3 and 2. AUCKLAND LADIES' CLUB. Following are the results of the semifinals of the handicap match -play foursomes for the Auckland Ladies' Club's captain's prize: Mrs. Wright and Miss N. Xoakes defeated Mrs. Ferguson and Miss E. Wilson, 2 up; Mrs. Wilson, and Mrs. Rainger defeated Misses E. Culling and F. Kuthbone, 1 up. AKARANA LADIES' CLUB. The monthly button competition was won b.v Miss G. I'nrr, 117- —33—84. Other scores were : Mrs. Preston, 125—30—80 ; Mrs. McCarthy, log—lS—9o. The C grade match was won by Mrs. •Coppard.
The. play off of the tie Jn the four-ball best-ball match resulted in a win for Miss Parr and Miss Yonng.
