ARSON SUSPECTED.
HEAVY LOSS INVOLVED.
SCHOOL BUILDINGS BURNED. SECOND FIRE IN A MONTH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, this day. St. Mary's Boys' School, a substantial wooden building in Blenheim, was virtually destroyed by fire last night, under circumstances pointing to incendiarism. The building was found to be on fire on June 17, when the outbreak was easily suppressed. The Phoenix office had insured the building for £600, and the furnishings for £100, but their replacement will probably cost £3000.
HOUSE IN OTAKI DESTROYED
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) OTAKI, this day. Fire this morning destroyed a fiveroomed residence owned by Mr. J. P. Brandon and occupied by Mr. H. Witchell. Practicadly all the contents, including trophies and valuable books, were destroyed.
