BUILDER BANKRUPT.
HEAVY LOSSES ON CONTRACTS

A man who was once worth £10,000, Charles Mildenhall, a builder, formerly of Frankton is now bankrupt. He met his creditors to-day, when he said his debts to unsecured creditors totalled £615, and to secured £2833. Bankrupt attributed his failure to the fall in the values of property, to losses on contracts and to an accident which rendered him unfit for work for a long time. His biggest mistake, he said, was not keeping liquid capital. It v/as stated that bankrupt's books were burned through an oversight. It was proved there were no suspicious circumstances.
The assignee said the bankrupt, had suffered, as had many other builders, through losses on contracts. ! It w r as decided to try to dispose of tin* assets.
