SKELETON NOT IDENTIFIED.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N„ this day. The identity of a skeleton found on the bank of the Manawatu River at Awapuni in April is still shrouded in mystery. At the inquest this morning police evidence was given to the effect that all inquiries had failed to produce anything likely to establish who the dead man was. All persons reported missing from this district in recent years had been accounted for.
A verdict of death from unknown causes was returned.
