Sir George Fowlds left for Palmerston North by last night's train on business connected with the Maseey Agricultural College.
Mr. B. Stephens, of New Plymouth, Mr. J. McDonald and Mr. E. Tiffen, of Sydney, and Mr. C. F. Hansen, of Napier, are staying at the Albert Hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. F. Johnstone, of Dimedin, Mr. C. F. Salmon, of Palmerston North, and Mr. M. Walmsley and Mr. H. Patience, of Wellington, are at the Central Hotel.
Professor W. F. McKnight, Professor of Electricity at Nova Scotia Technical College, Halifax, arrived in Auckland by the steamer Canadian Highlander, from Halifax yesterday. He intends to spend a month touring the North Island.
Mr. H. D. Cooper, who, for some years, has been auctioneer for Dalgety and Company, Limited, Auckland, has been appointed manager of that firm's Te Kuiti feub-branch. Mr. E. L. Salmon, who is on the staff of the company at Wanganui, has been appointed to succeed Mr. Cooper as atictioneer at Auckland. .
