SHOW DECLARED OPEN.
MAYOR OF AUCKLAND'S REMARKS
Hi* Worship the Mayor (Mr. George Baildon), in declaring the exhibition open, congratulated the executive officers on their work in having brought their efforts to such a successful conclusion. The exhibition was indeed a worthy one and in every department reflected the progressivene.««s of Auckland City and the province generally. He extended the heartiest of welcomes to the visitors whom he understood had come from all parts. He hoped their stay would be ail enjoyable one and that the 1928 Auckland Exhibition would go down to posterity as one of the most successful held in the history of the association. If hard work, co-operation and entertainment of every kind were responsible for that, then lie was sure the object would be attained.
