DANGEROUS DRIVING.
MOTORIST IN COURT. <DOING 47 ON REMTJERA BOAS* MR. HUNT'S WARNING. For driving a motor car along Renmera Road at 47 miles an hoar Herbert Henry Wood was fined £3 and costs by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court this morning. Mr. G. R. Hogan, chief traffic officer for the Auckland City Council, said he had to do fifty miles an hour in his car to catch defendant. Mr. Hunt -warned defendant that if a further charge of dangerous driving was proved against him his license would be cancelled. For leaving their cars unattended 15. de Tourret, Jas. Fletcher, A. E. Marwick, A. E. Hammer, O. J. Melvern, M. Yerex and A G. Frankham were each fined 10/ and N. Clarke and A B. Smith were convicted. Orders for costs were made in each case. For dangerous driving C. WagstafF was fined £3. L. Shrimski £2, Rene de Lores £1 and J. Casey 10/, with costs in each case. Failure to obey a traffic officer cost F. V. Pope, W. J. Smales and D. Morrow £1 and costs each. For passing • vehicle on Grafton Bridge J. Knowles and H. P. Whyman were each fined 10/ and costs; for not carrying registered number plates P. B. White and Paul Stubbings were each fined £1 and eOsts. For causing obstruction C. Joyce was fined 10/ and costs and W. j. Lister was convicted and ordered to pay costs. Other case« heard were against T. G. Gray for turning to the right at Grafton Bridge, fined £1 and costs; J. Bamber for passing a tram car on the wrong side, fined 10/ and costs; W. V. Wilson for not having motor driver's license, fined 10/ and costs; G. Abel for leaving motor car on bus stand, fined 10/ and costs; and Naran Ranchra for leaving vehicle stand on Grafton Bridge, fined £1 and costs.
