COCKATOO ISLAND.
DOCK TO BE ENLARGED. SYDNEY, July 10. Owing to the ever-increasing size of ocean liners, the New South Wales Government has decided to enlarge the dock oc Cockatoo Island to enable it to accommodate liners of the size of the Union Company's new vessel now being built. This will be the same length as the Ceramic, but 16ft wider in the beam. The dock will be extended to 690 ft in length and its width to 88ft.
