MR. S. V. PEARCE MENTIONED.

It is understood that Mr. G. V. Pearee, •who was a member of Parliament for Patea from 1908 until 1919, would be willing to become the United party's candidate for the Patea seat.
It is likely that strong representations will be made to Mr. W. Morrison, chairman of the Waitotara County Council, to contest the seat again. The sitting member is Mr. H. G. Dickie

Mr. W. B. Taverner (Mayor of Dunedin) has accepted Mr. T. K. Sidey's committee's nomination as the United party's candidate for Dunedin South.
