MOTORING ACCIDENTS.
SERVICE CAR SOMERSAULTS*
PASSENGER SEVERELY INJURED. (By Telegraph—Own Corrpsjjoiident-) RAETIHI, Monday. While travelling from Oraukukura. to Raetihi this afternoon a service car, owned by Webb and Co., and driven by Mr. W. Cook, went over a bank on the Para para Road, about a mile from Raetihi. At the time of the accident the ear was going round a bend, and it went into a clay portion of the road, skidded, and in going over a bank turned a somersault. The occupants of the oar were Mr. and Mrs. T. E. McLean, of Oraukukura, and the driver. Mrs. McLean and Mr. Cook were thrown out of the car, but Mr. McLean, unfortunately, was pinned underneath, and the car had to be raised before he could be extricated. Mr. and Mrs. McLean were taken to the Waimarino Hotel. Raetihi, whet* they received medical attention. Mr. McLean received injuries to the chest and back, and is severely bruised and shaken. Mrs. McLean 'escaped with minor cuts, bruises and shock. Ths driver also received slight injuries. The car was considerably damaged.

THREE MOTORISTS INJURED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PALMERSTON Mondav. Motor cars driven by Messrs. W. H. Highstead and R. Greig collided' last evening near Manukau. Mr. Highstead's i-ar, containing his wife and Mrs. May Curtis and her three-months'-old twins, capsized. The infants escaped without a scratch. The three adults were badly bruised, and Mr. Highstead had one shoulder Injured. Mr. and Mrs. Greig escaped unhurt. r
Mr. Highstcad's car was badlr damaged.
