At the Queen's Club tennis tournament in the third round of the men's doubles Patterson and Hawkes scratched. Fred Crawford and Helmore beat Brookes and Coen 6—4. 7—5. Crawford and Hopman beat Jacob and Botsford 6—2, 6—3. In the fourth round Crawford and Hopman beat Sleem and Soni 6—3, 2—6, 6—l. In the third round of the mixed doubles Brookes and Baroness von Reznuek beat Dizer and Miss Noel 6—2, 6—2. In the quarter-final of the doubles Tilden and Hunter beat Cochet and Lacoste 6—l, 6—4. In the semi-finals Tilden and Hunter beat Scroope and O'Callaghan 4—6, 6—3, 6—4. Crawford and Hopman beat F. Crawford and Helmore 6— 1, 6—2. In the singles semi-finals Tilden beat Coen 6—2, 6—2, and Hunter beat Hopman 6—4, 7—5. In the Davis Cup match Italy won by four matches to one. Morpurgo beat Gregory 6—o, 6—l, 6—2. Higgs beat Stefani 6—l, 3—6, 6—2, 5—7, 6—2. In the international tennis games. America v. England, Hennessey and Lott (America) beat Godfree and Collins (Britain) S—lo, 6—l. 3—6. 7—5, 7—5.
