PARISHIONERS' MEETINGS.

ST. ANDREW'S, EPSOM.

The annual meeting of the parishioners of St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Epsom, was held last evening, the. vicar, Rev. F. P. de L. Willie. M.A., presiding over an attendance of 120.

The chairman referred to the recent death of Rev. Dr. T. O'Callaghan, who had acted as locum tenens at St. Andrew's, and a motion of sympathy with his relatives and also with those of deceased parishioners mentioned in the report was carried.

In opening the business th»-chairman referred to the excellent attendance, especially considering the damp evening, and went on to say that the report and statemen of accounts presented by the churchwardens reflected the sonnd state of the parish. The attendances at services had been consistently Rood, the finances were sonnd, outside obligations had been well met and the church debt considerably reduced. A most excellent atmosphere prevailed in the parish, for the people loved their church and would do anything for it. There was a total absence of oartv spirit, and parishioners responded splendidly and loyally when assistance was required of them.

The vicar appointed Mr. John Parr as his warden, Mr. Harry Frost was reelected people's warden. The election of vestry resulted as follows:—Messrs. G. Ashley. A. J. Grove, A. E. T. Langford, T. G. Mynott, E. L. McKinetry, D. S. B, Squire, A. E. Upton. A. Worrall, A. E. Young and W. B. Williamson. There were 14 nominations.

Mr. J. B. Lusk and Mr. L. Barry did not seek re-election this year. Mr. A. D. Stewart was re-elected hon. auditor, and Mr. R. M. Grant was appointed hon. solicitor.

The wives of the vestry kindly provided light refreshments after the meeting.
