LONDON, May 22. ® a ' n throughout the country interfered with the cricket matches which began on Saturday, when Yorkshire, Sussex, Derbyshire, and Somersetshire did not play. The latter, with Marylebone, the West Indies, Essex, and Surrey did not play to-day. Against the West Indies Marvlebone scored 65 for one wicket.
Against Warwickshire Lancashire made 204 (Hollows 74, Mayer four for 53). Warwickshire made 107 (R. Tyldesley four for 28).
Against Yorkshire Sussex made 91 for two.
,-^o a .i nst Kent Northamptonshire made 100 (Freeman six for 52). Kent made 402 for seven wickets (Ashdown 178, Woollev 77, Recordon 64 not out). Against Leicestershire Nottinghamsiiire made 141 for seven (Whvsall 61). Against Hampshire Worcestershire made 244 (Gibbons 107, Kennedy five for 66, Bores four for 36). Hampshire made 99 for three.
Against Oxford Universitv Gloucestershire made 344 (Dipper 100, Hammond 53, Dacre, the New Zea lander, 69». Oxford University made 277 for eight (Kingsley 93, Ford not out 65).
