Greatly Pleased With Men And Methods. ALDERSHOT VISITED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 12 noon.) RUGBY, May 22. Lieutenant-General Sir David Campbell, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief at Aldershot, has received a message from the King regarding th* tour of inspection which His Majesty mad© of the Aldershot Command last week. 'The King says that he was gratified to see the various developments which had taken place, affecting both the training and welfare of the troops. His inspection of the Army vocational training centre greatly interested him, and« the facilities which it offered must be most helpful to those soldiers shortly returning to civilian life.

The past few years, His Majesty continued, had seen a great advance in the science of warfare, and he had been able to realise the ever-increasing demands on the intelligence of soldiers of to-day. He was impressed by the enthusiasm and skill displayed by all ranks in mastering the complicated machinery of modern weapons. During his visit he had been struck by the smart appearance and soldierly bearing of the troous.
