PAEROA BOROUGH RATES.
The Paeroa Borough Council ha« decided to strike ratee for the year 1928-29 totaling ninepence in the pound. Thia is an increase of 1 3-16 d over those for the previous year. The general, lighting, financial adjustment loan and aewerage loan rates remain the same, the domain improvements loan rate show* a decrease of l-16d, but the 1920 street improvements loan rate shows an increase, as does the hospital rate. The latter shows an increase of %d owing to the larger amount levied for the current year. Provision is also required to collect a rate on the £2000 relief of unemployment loan to meet the interest and sinking fund on the loan.
