While Mr. E. Whitechurch, of Tahuna, representative on the Piako County Council, was cranking his car yesterday, it bounded forward and knocked him down. It then ran across the road into a fence. Mr. Whitechurch, seriously injured, was taken home, and received medical atte;itic«Evidently he had left the car "in gear."
