HAMILTON STOCK SALE.

The Farmers' Co-operative Auctionering Company, Ltd., reports:—At the Hamilton stock sale to-day beef was in good supply with demand equal to last week's rates. Light steers made from £10 2/ to £12 2/6; heavy cows, £10 to £11; medium-weights, £8 10/ to £9 17/6; light-weights, £7 to £8; unfinished, £4 15/ to £5 15/. Mutton advanced in value, all classes of sheep participating. Medium wethers made to 35/3; good ewes to 36/2; lambs, from 26/ to 30/. Pigs again drew a strong bidding, last week's rates being maintained. Heavy baconers made from £4 8/ to £4 16/; medium, £3 15/ to £4 6/; light, £3 3/ to £3 8/; heavy porkers, £2 10/ to £2 15/; light, 30/ to 37/; slips, 13/ to 16/; weaner3, 6/ to 10/.

Dalgety and Company, Limited, report as under:—There was a large entry of beef, but only a small proportion of prime quality. Fat bullocks, £12 2/6. For extra prime quality late prices were well maintained. Extra choice young cows and heifers sold at tip to £9 17/6. On account of Mr. Vere Chitty an extra heavy good quality Polled Angus cow sold at £15 5/ and was purchased by Messrs. Ayers and Smith after very keen competition. Ordinary cows and heifers made from £6 to £7 17/8; light and inferior cows and heifers, £5 to £6 5/; runners, £3 17/6 to £4 6/; vealers, up to £3 2/6. There was a moderate yarding of fat sheep, which sold at 2/ to 2/6 above last week's rates. Best fat wethers made 35/ to 36/3. Fat ewes,, medium quality, 25/6 to 27/6; heavy fat ewes, 28/3; fat shorn lambs, 25/6. A line b£ 300 4 and G-tooth wethers made 33/3; 1068 ditto, 32/3; 130 ditto, 28.A pen of full-mouthed ewes in lamb,' 28/3; store lambs, 19/6; »tore ewes, 23/. - There was a large yarding of fat and store pigs. Fats sold at late rates, while stores were a shade easier.
