DOOR FOUND OPEN.

WAS IT A BURGLARY ? VICTORIA STREET INCIDENT. The door at the rear of the premises of the Kiwi Dining Rooms, a lock-up establishment in Victoria Street West, was open when employees arrived at work this morning, and the suspicion wa3 aroused that a marauder had been at work. This suspicion has since been dispelled, however, as nothing on the premises, owned by Martin Ingoe, was disturbed. The proprietress was not certain that the "snib" on the lock had functioned properly when she closed the room last evening, ahd she explained the marks on the door that resembled those made by a jemmy, by pointing out that occasion had recently been found to force the door owins to the absence of the cook, who was in possession of the kev.
