AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.

TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE.

Commercial Bank of Australia ordinary shares firmed yesterday afternoon to sales at 29/3, and sales were again made to-day up to 29/4. Bank of New South Wales shares are inquired for at £48 2/6, and English and Scottish Bank shares changed hands at the third call yesterday at £8 8/. Sales were made at the noon call to-day of Bank of New Zealand shares at £3.

New Zealand Insurance shares had business at both calls to-day, at £2 1/9 and New Zealand Breweries debentures were placed at £1 3/5. Goldsbrough Mort shares are now wanted at £2 10/9, and buyers still offer £60 for Colonial Sugar. Taranaki Oil sold at the third call yestei'day at 10/7, and Waihi shares were placed at 11/5, ex div., while 1/3 was paid for Grand Junctions.

Inscribed War Loan 5*4 per cent, maturing in 1941. sold at £99 to-day. At the third call £96 was accepted for City 5% per cent debentures, and £98 10/ for Government 5%, per cent Loan maturing in 1932. s
