BORIC ACID IN BACON.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSfON N., Monday. In the Magistrate's Court to-day the Kiwi Bacon Company was charged with having sold bacon containing boric add. It was ordered to pay coat*. Counsel for defendants stated that boric acid was used only for the purpose by dusting to keep off Hies. Some acid apparently worked into the bacon.
