Mr. E. Hansen, of Wanganui, and Mr. J. Martin, of Hamilton, are at the Commercial Hotel.
Mr. C. Alma Baker, accompanied by Mrs. Baker and Miss Baker, left for Sydney by the Aorangi yesterday.
Mr. R. Proctor, lecturer in art at the Auckland School of Architecture, ,will leave Auckland shortly to take up a position in a Melbourne University.
Mr. R. Proctor, part-time lecturer in art at Auckland University College, has resigned to take up a full-time position in Melbourne.
Miss Lucy Cranwell, 8.A., has been appointed a student demonstrator in the biology department of Auckland University College.
Mr. E. H. Northcroft has been reelected unopposed to the Auckland University College Council as the representative of the members of both Houses of Parliament, resident in the Auckland province.
Among those at the Central Hotel are: Mr. W. McDonald (Wellington), Mr. and Mrs. E. H. French (Rotorua), Mr. A. Miller (Hamilton), Mr. C. Fox (Christchurch), Mr. G. Brown (Wellington), Mr. H. . Such (Sydney), Mr. R. Wagg (Wellington).
Star Hotel guests include: Mr. H. Napier and Mr. C. A. Melntosh, of Napier, Mr. W. A. Tate, of Greytown, Mr. W. Rowe, of Christchurch, Mr. C. H. Collis, of Sydney, Mr. D. McElroy, of Feilding, and Mr. W. Lockie, of Feilding.
Major-General J. M. Sloan, C.8., C.M.G., D.5.0., deputy-director of Medical Services, Southern Command, India, left yesterday by the Aorangi for Sydney. Accompanied by Mrs. Sloan, MajorGeneral Sloan has been spending a holiday in New Zealaifd, trout fishing at Tokaanu.
