ADVERTISING EXHIBITION.

OFFICIAL OPENING TO-MORROW.

That many people did not yet appreciate that commercial success founded upon the principles of good business, linked with truthful advertising, conferred personal benefits by creating employment, increased production, and consequently cheaper living, was the opinion expressed by Mr. L. A. Eady, president of the Auckland Advertising Club, in a special message on the eve of the Advertising and Business Exhibition.

The exhibition is to be opened tomorrow at 2 p.m. by the Minister of Health (the Hon. J. A. Young). It is described by the president as a sincere effort on the part of the club, which is a rapidly growing voluntary institution, endeavouring to convey to the public something of the real significance of modern advertising as a potent power in to-day's civilisation. Mr. Eady said advertising was the greatest force known for the promotion of Empire trade and national and individual prosperity. Advertising widened the scope of the selling and buying markets, and thus stimulated transport and other activities conducive to the well-being of evervone.

The cflub believed that the exhibition, apart from its entertainment features, would bring home to thousands what advertising was doing to place within reach of all both the necessities and luxuries of life.

An exhibition of special interest to ladies will be staged by the "New Zealand Smallholder." it consists of a consignment of knitting wool and little baby garments made from pure 36/ a pound Angora rabbit wool, sent out direct from the British spinners. A large photograph of the baby trousseau of pure Angora wool presented to little Princess Elizabeth will also be shown, in, addition to some live specimens of New Zealand Angora rabbits, which produced this valuable wool.
