EASING THE STRAIN.
NEW .YORK, May 19.
Owing to the excessive strain on members of the New York Stock Exchange in the past few weeks the governing committee has decided to close the exchange daily, except on Saturdays, at 2 p.m. This is one hour earlier than usual.
