ELECTION CANDIDATES.
REFORMER FOR THAMES. MR. A. M. SAMUEL SELECTED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, Wednesday. Mr. A. M. Samuel, M.P. for Ohinemuri, has been selected as the official Reform candidate for the Thames seat *t the general election, following the retirement of Mr. T. W. Rhodes, MJ. Mr. Samuel's selection was unanimously endorsed at a well-attended meeting of members of the Thames branch of the Reform League this evrming. UNITED PARTY. CANDIDATE FOR MANUKAU. MR. W. T. F. KELLS MASON. It was announced this morning by the organiser of the United Political party (Mr. A. E. Davy) that Mr. W. T. F. Kells Mason, solicitor, has been selected to contest the Manukau seat at the general elections in the interests of the United party. Mr. Mason, who is a comparatively young man, is practising in Auckland. He \s a son of the late Mr. W. F. Mason, and a grandson of Captain Kells, of Tamaki. While at the Auckland University Mr. Mason gained his shooting blue and played a prominent part in 'Varsity athletics.
