While it appeared on the face of the early returns as though Mr. H. C. Hoover was carrying a big majority in Indiana Republican primary election for the Presidential nomination, later figures curiously reversed the situation, giving Mr. j. E. Watson a majority instead. This, even if not substantial, has at least been consistent. Through the day 2436 out of 361U precincts gave Mr. Watson 137,632 votes and Mr. Hoover 118,225, but it is quite possible that Mr. Hoover may again lead when all the precincts are heard from
